I got inspired by “A Treasury of Slip Stitch Patterns” by Caroline Nelson and Elaine Cater, but any slip stitch punchcard or electronic patterns can be used.
For all samples I used Tamm Estilo yarn
yarn 1: beige
yarn 2: gray
yarn 3: dark pink
yarn 4: wine
This is a 24 stitch punchcard. I drew it in Stitch Designer in DAK, then downloaded to my Brother 940 machine.
Depending how many rows were knitted with the same color very different patterns appear, even the punchcard or electronic design is the same.
A: always 2 rows in the following order: yarn 2, yarn 3, yarn 4, yarn 3, yarn 2, yarn 1
and start again
B: 10 rows yarn 1, 2 rows yarn 4
and repeat
C: 2 colors total, change every 12th row
D: 2 colors total, change every 4th row
The following swatches are done with this stitch pattern
A: 3 colors total
6 rows yarn 2, 2 rows yarn 4, 6 rows yarn 3, 2 rows yarn 4 and repeat
B: 4 colors total, each 8 rows
C: 2 colors total, 6 rows first color, 2 rows second color and repeat
D: 3 colors total, each 8 rows
